RESPONSIBILITIES :
Here are some key responsibilities of a sandblaster:
• Surface Preparation: Sandblasters are responsible for preparing surfaces by removing rust, paint, dirt, and contaminants using abrasive materials and equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect themselves and others from potential hazards.
• Equipment Operation: Operating sandblasting machines and equipment, including adjusting settings for different materials and surfaces.
• Material Handling: Handling and maintaining abrasive materials, such as sand, glass beads, or steel shot, and ensuring they are used efficiently.
• Surface Inspection: Inspecting surfaces before and after sandblasting to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly cleaning and maintaining sandblasting equipment to ensure proper functionality and extend its lifespan.
