This sporting event, which takes place in Germany in June, is one of the main reasons Kosovars are planning to travel in 2024, according to a poll conducted among 3,050 respondents, according to EU Helpers.
Apart from the UEFA EURO 2024, music events organized in various EU cities are another factor driving increased interest in visiting the EU in 2024. According to the survey, Germany is the primary destination for Kosovars traveling within the European Union. Among those surveyed, 28.3% indicated that this was their first visit.
The majority of respondents stated that they would like to explore parks, beaches, and outdoor activities when traveling to the EU, along with going shopping (39.2%), exploring the nation's culinary heritage (40.8%), and visiting museums and learning about the culture (59.6%).
Furthermore, roughly 47.1% of respondents indicated they want to stay with family or loved ones, while 49.2% stated hotels are their preferred form of lodging. 3.7% more people wish to remain with their pals.
The majority of respondents, or roughly 67.3%, indicated they would be spending more on travel this year, therefore Kosovars can similarly anticipate greater travel prices. Comparatively, 21.2% of respondents stated they were unsure if they would spend more on travel, and 11.4% stated they wouldn't be spending any more than they had before the liberalization of visa requirements.
In addition, 42% of respondents had not yet begun to plan their travels, while 18% have been saving for up to three months in preparation for their travels in 2024.
Moreover, the plane is the primary mode of transportation; 2,280 respondents indicated they would go by plane, compared to 410 for cars, 280 for buses, and 80 for trains. Furthermore, 1,780 trips are made for tourism, as opposed to 910 for family visits and 150 for business.
A total of 26.1% of Kosovars have not yet begun their preparations for their 2024 travels, while 54.3% have planned their destinations and 44.5% have created a budget.
Additionally, about 33.1% of respondents had looked into cheap airline tickets, and about 28.2% of respondents stated they were investigating other options for lodging.
